Consortium

Ramps4Champs 2.0 – School Edition is a 24 month cooperation partnership between 8 organizations from 6 European Countries. The Consortium has been selected of the organizations previous experiences and expertise on the project’s topics, to ensure the production of valuable deliverables and implementation of high-quality activities.

The partners have also selected, beforehand, the secondary schools in which the training activities will be implemented. Nevertheless, since the project’s starting month, the organizations will seek to onboard in the project other schools, to promote the project’s results and activities at national and EU level.

All the partners will cooperate to the project’s activities, according to their expertise.

The Portuguese Federation for People with Disabilities (FPDD) is a multisport federation that holds the status of a Sports Public Utility. It was founded in December 1988 with the primary objective of providing opportunities for sports and physical activities to everyone throughout their lives, regardless of their functional
capacity. The level of involvement desired by everyone in the community is also considered. Currently, FPDD comprises of four associations, namely, the Association of Sport for People with Intellectual
Disability, the Association of Sport for People with Visual Disability, the Association of Sport for Deaf People, and the Association of Sport for People with Cerebral Palsy – Specialist working in Boccia. FFDD is partner of the Word Boccia Federation, representing bocce in Portugal.These associations collectively offer 27 sports for people with disabilities in Portugal. As of 2023, FPDD has more than 3800 athletes with disabilities, 137 coaches, 58 referees, and 265 sports assistants. This makes FPDD the largest sports organization working towards the development of sports for people with disabilities in Portugal. Being specialist in adapted sport and specific sports for persons with disability, FFDD have a strong background in Boccia, namely in education framework in regular schools, for youngster in grassroots, for persons with Cerebral Palsy and for elder persons, with the Boccia Senior, contributing for a more approach and connecting generations and families in a base simple sport. Also, FFDD has the regulation and promotion for the Competitive Boccia and Paralympic Teams.

The primary goal of AETOI Thessalonikis is to support individuals with disabilities. Our sport clubc collaborates directly with approximately 70 children and adults with disabilities, aiming primarily at their social participation and integration. AETOI is the only sports club in Greece accredited by the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports for the development and implementation of “Sports for All” programs. At AETOI there are “sports for all” disciplines (4 in track and field, 1 in basketball, 2 in swimming, 1 in boccia, and 1 in table tennis) with over 60 athletes participating in these teams. Additionally, more than 5 elite athletes of global caliber train individually with their coaches. AETOI actively participate in and develop educational programs for individuals with disabilities as part of their comprehensive education. Additionally, the staff, the administrative board, and the athletes take part in various European programs, such as Erasmus+. A common theme of all the EU programs in which AETOI participates is disability and vulnerable groups in general. Moreover, AETOI organizes and/or participates in seminars and conferences for professionals related to sports disability and disability in general. AETOI is the coordinating organizations for Small Scale Partnership in Sport “Ramps4Champs”. The present of AETOI in the Consortium is a great added value as expert on the topic.
Mine Vaganti NGO is a social enterprise with 15 years of experience in developing educational formats and materials addressed to a variety of target groups, and ranging from social inclusion to social entrepreneurship, digitalization, environmental sustainability. MVNGO staff is experienced in providing training using non- formal education and Education through sport activities, bringing an innovative approach to the education sector. MVNGO board members are also experienced in producing educational tools for schoolteachers and
students, with keen expertise on the topic of disabilities. Since 2021, MVNGO, in partnership with EU Universities (La Sapienza University, Izmir Katip Çelebi University, WSEI) organizes an annual International Conference on Sports and Education, aimed at connecting the academic word with the sport and NGOs environments to promote the adoption of innovative learning approaches, fostering innovative research and methodologies. MVNGO will bring an added value as expert
in NFE, ETS and as a provider of training activities for the selected target groups. Its’ previous experience in participating in sport projects will ensure high-quality of deliverables.
As sport is about ambition, emotion and inspiration initiated by the people for the people, the sector should be based on the personal convictions of decision-makers for integrity, dedication and fairness as well as on the principles of “fair play”, team-work, discipline, equal start and non-
discrimination. BSDA believes that sport should be part of a modern life of children and young people and should transmit in them all those values and support their use in all aspects of life. Sport is also an excellent way to prevent many of the problems experienced by young people such as social exclusion, violence, crime and addictions. BSDA boasts significant relevant experience in adapted sports and physical activity and working with people with various disabilities. With a strong commitment to promoting inclusive sports and quality opportunities, BSDA has conducted extensive research and analysis on the use of inclusive sports, ensuring their integration into local communities. Moreover, BSDA has a proven track record of organizing events, campaigns, and trainings focused on physical activity and active living, including those tailored for people with disabilities. Additionally, BSDA’s team includes recognized experts like Stefka Djobova and Ivelina Kirilova, who specialize in adapted physical activity and sport, further enhancing the organization’s expertise in working with people with physical disabilities. Over the years BSDA have organized a variety of events focused in the development of sport and physical activity and implementing of good practices on local level in our country, using EDUCATION THROUGH SPORT as a teaching/learning methodologies, applied to a variety of sectors and target groups. The successful participation of BSDA in Ramps4Champs (small scale partnership) makes it a reliable partner to ensure high-quality deliverables in the Ramps4Champs 2.0- School Edition project.
The Polish Boccia Association – PBA (sports brand “Polska Boccia”) was registered by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism in 2015. The association was established on the basis of the experiences systematically collected in Poland since 1992. The association used Boccia as a proven tool that activates people with Disabilities, improves the quality of their life, and integrating them with the community. The association has created a unique in the country system combining high-level sport with grassroots sport. PBA associated 29 training centres (clubs, foundations, associations) all over Poland, approx. 300 athletes are involved in regular training, more than 50 boccia instructors work actively, including approx. 50 with licenses and approx. 60 referees. PBA runs courses for instructors, referees, medical classifiers, volunteers and other extensive development activities. PBA is a member of BISFed (World Boccia Sports Federation – sports brand “ World Boccia” ) and the Polish Paralympic
Committee. The Association organizes annually the Polish Boccia League, the Polish Boccia Championships, as well as international competitions.
Association of Physical Education and Sports Professionals of Porto has experience in developing and promote physical education and sport, through interactions with municipalities, associations, sport agents, schools, clubs, and private and public bodies, within the community. We have expertise in promoting training for teachers and sport coaches, awareness, sports debate, daily exercise, and physical activity as well, as high performance, through the provision of technical, human, and financial resources. We are a training entity accredited by Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth and we have also experience in implement projects and sport programs for and through sport, not only among our members but also for a vast sporting and
educational community. Our teachers and coaches are involved in a national Project “High Performance Support Units at School (UAARE), that are the result of articulation between the Education and Sports sectoral areas, namely between school groups, guardians, sports federations and their agents and municipalities, with the aim of to successfully reconcile school activity with sports by student-athletes in primary and secondary education, classified in the high-performance regime, national teams and/or students with potential sporting talent. Furthermore, we also promote, in partnership with ANDDI- Portugal, the Portuguese Sports Association for Persons with Intellectual Disability, several activities related with Boccia, during the European Week of Sport and in terms of School Sport and in the organization of activities with Municipalities and also with the Senior Universities of Third Age Network ( RUTIS), related with Boccia for seniors. All these activities provide the Association with great experience in the field of organization and implementation of sport activities and events for the community, during the European Week of Sport, European School Day, International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, International Day of Older Persons, Move Week, among others.
Rescue Training International (R.T.I.) offers high quality and qualified First Aid Training worldwide. We tailor our courses to meet the specific needs of individuals and businesses, offering flexibility in training that can be adjusted as standalone courses or combined packages to align with the candidates’ requirements. Through its commitment to excellence and a wide-reaching impact on first aid education, RTI continues to be a key player in enhancing the skills and readiness of people to manage emergencies in various settings. RTI previous experience in participating in Ramps4Champs project brings added value to the project thanks to their capability in providing educational formats to provide safer BC3 in schools, empowering students to become assistants.
LOUD is an innovative Social cooperative Enterprise for Integration that was founded in 2023 with a clear purpose: the equal integration of individuals with disabilities into the workforce and the promotion of their independent living. Established by a group of friends— both with and without disabilities—the organization is
passionate about implementing and participating in projects that promote inclusion, empowerment, and opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Our focus ranges from local communities to national and European levels, where we actively seek collaborations and initiatives that align with our mission. To embody our ideals, we’ve organized a series of inclusive artistic projects, creating spaces where everyone can work with dignity. These include yoga sessions tailored for physical flexibility and mental well-being; sewing workshops that encourage creativity and skill-building; percussion and voice cycles to explore music therapeutically; dance workshops under the program “Dance and the Mind,” focusing on expression and emotional health; Boccia workshops promoting the sport adapted for individuals with varying levels of physical ability; consulting services to provide guidance and support for living with disabilities; and psychokinetic activities designed to improve overall emotional and physical health. These offerings are just a part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive, empowering environment. At LOUD, we believe in the transformative power of these activities to not only provide meaningful work opportunities but also build a community that values every individual’s contribution, regardless of their abilities.
